Our why:
Making a positive impact on the hospitality industry

Finding a new restaurant that you will love, or connecting with (new) guests for your restaurant has increasingly become more difficult:

  • Research shows that people are more likely to leave a bad review after a bad experience, than a good review after an amazing visit, which creates an overkill of bad publicity and misinformation.

  • On social media, the opposite is happening: influencers are more likely to over exaggerate on their good experience, which leaves viewers misinformed or questioning authenticity

  • Hospitality groups/chains get to dominate Google, Tripadvisor, Meta and foodblogs through advertising and in-house marketeers, which leaves small business owners in a battle they can never win

Be My Guest is a online platform & community where people can recommend (not rate!) restaurants, follow people they trust in their taste, save places to their lists, and discover new places on their feed. Eventually, the platform will allow restaurants to communicate with their target group.

Be My Guest
enables you to:

  • Recommend, or highly recommend, a restaurant/bar/café without having to write a review or upload a picture.

  • Make and share playlists of places you want to go or visited. How about a 'Date Night', 'Barcelona Citytrip '24' or 'Bucketlist Worldwide'-list?

  • Follow people you trust in their taste, whether that's your foodie colleague, your best friend or your favorite chef.

  • Discover new information about restaurants, like: "Who are the owners?" or, "How's the sensory stimuli in this place?", or "Is this place recommended by other vegans?"

  • Stay updated on hospitality news. A new restaurant opening near you? Your favorite restaurant changed up their menu? You'll be the first to know.

Why authentic recommendations are important:

"It takes 40 positive customer experiences to make up for a single bad review."
