Be My Guest
Restaurants worth recommending.
Be My Guest is an independent restaurant guide. Browse a curated collection of places to eat and drink, filter them down to the ones that suit the evening you have in mind, save the ones you love into your own guides, and swap recommendations with the people whose taste you trust.
Opening soon — one email when we do, nothing else.

What you can do with Be My Guest
Discover places worth eating at
Browse an independently curated collection of restaurants, bars and cafés, each with photos, opening hours, price range and the practical details you need before you go.
Filter on what actually decides it
Narrow places down by cuisine, price, neighbourhood, dietary needs, natural wine, terrace and more. No sponsored placements, no rankings bought by the highest bidder.
Save places into your own guides
Keep the places you love in guides you build yourself, add your own notes, and mark off the ones you have already been to.
Recommend to people you know
Send a single place or a whole guide to a friend, and get personal recommendations back from the people you would actually take advice from.
Bring your Google Maps lists with you
Already keep your restaurants in Google Maps? Import your saved place lists — “Want to go”, “Favourites” and your own custom lists — straight into Be My Guest, instead of re-adding every venue by hand.
Accounts, signing in and your data
You can browse Be My Guest without an account. Saving places, building guides and recommending restaurants to friends need a free account, which you can create with an email address, an Apple ID or a Google account.
Signing in with Google
If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them for one thing: to create and identify your Be My Guest account, so you do not need another password, and to email you about your account. We never post to your Google account.
Importing your Google Maps saved places
Importing your Google Maps lists is optional, and nothing happens until you start it yourself. When you do, we ask Google for one narrow permission — read access to your saved links, images, places and collections (the “dataportability.saved.collections” scope) — and use it for exactly one purpose: to read your saved place lists once and recreate them as guides inside your Be My Guest account. We do not touch your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or Maps history, we keep no copy of the raw export once the import has finished, and we delete the access token as soon as we are done. You can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
We never sell your Google data, never use it for advertising, and never use it to train AI models. Be My Guest's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
